Intelligent Design is Creationism

People who support this theory are supporting the idea that one 'designer' built man at exactly one moment in time. This designer could only be God because he is what Christians believe created man. Therefore intelligent design is a code name for creationism. Intelligent design is religious, not scientific.

Is it possible for an idea to be both religious and scientific?

It is impossible for an idea to be both religious and scientific because they contradict each other. Religion states that Man was created by God, however science states that man evolved over time from a common ancestor. There is no way that both ideas could be connected because they are completely different. Perhaps, in the future, science will discover a connection between religion and science. Then finally, the conflict between the two about evolution will be resolved.
